Public Guest Talk: Prof. Dr. Paolo Carloni, Forschungszentrum Jülich
The RTG welcomes Paolo Carloni as a guest speaker on Tuesday, 8th of May 2018.
Titel: “Multiscale modeling of human GPCRs“
Human G-Protein coupled receptors are the largest and pharmaceutically most important family of transmembrane receptors. From about half of them (the odorant and bitter taste receptors) structural information is lacking. Here we will describe a multi-scale simulation strategy that attempts to provide the structural determinants of ligand binding to these large subsets of GPCRs. We will conclude the talk with an investigation of GPCR-based signaling pathways currently carried out in the human brain project flagship.
